Whisky Whisky 4 Delta X-Ray Main focus is DX'ing and DX contesting on 40 meters and up. WW4DX

Main HF station is a Yaesu FTDX101MP plus a Yaesu FTDX10 used as a backup. RF Shark OpenSpot.

Recently added a Kenwood TS-530SP just to have a hybrid transceiver in the mix. Mobile HF rig is a Kenwood TS-480HX. Main Shortwave receiver is a classic Yaesu FRG-7. As you can tell, I prefer Yaesu gear, with a couple pieces of Kenwood gear mixed in. I prefer Heil mics, PR40, PR77D, Pro 7 Headset, HM-12, and the Heil Goldline Elite. I have went 100% solid state on HF amplifiers. Running a RF-Kit

RF2K-S and a Palstar LA-1K. Dummy load is a Palstar DL5K. Station monitor is TelePost LP-100A. The VHF/UHF gear consist of 2 ICOM ID-51A’s (D-Star), Yaesu FT3D (C4FM/Fusion), and a ICOM ID-4100A (D-Star). Antenna systems consist of a Palstar HF AUTO transmatch, a 115ft Rohn 25G tower, Force12 C19XR 11 element multi-band Yagi, plus a pair of open-line fed Doublets. A 135 Ft and a 270 Ft. Antenna switching is performed by a Array Solution RATPAK remote antenna switch. The Force12 C19XR is rotated with a Hy-Gain Tail Twister II. The second tower is a 50ft Rohn 25G with a Diamond X300A VHF/UHF vertical at 55ft. Feedline is CommScope 1/2 inch 50 ohm hardline. Awards. Connected my RF-POWER amp to the FTDX101MP via the CAT. Like this configuration much better than the RF sensing (which worked fine). Now the amp is ready for action, even before I xmit.

Operating tip.

When using the phonetic alphabet to give your call sign, and/or name, please use standard phonetics, and not some silly s**t you just made up!

And too the not so bright ham down the street. Xerox is not correct the phonetic for the last letter in your call-sign, which is ‘Z’.

How that idiot passed the 'extra' exam, beats the s**t of of me.

According to K4ZDH, there is a rouge group of frequency police (Amateur Radio Watch) sending out notices and warnings to amateurs stating they are operating their station in violation of the Federal Communication Commissions rules.

These emails are being sent via an anonymous email server, with no name or call sign attached. Yeah, call less, and ball less.

K4ZDH recommends these email be ignored.

I'm am very surprised to to hear that many do not like the Yaesu 3DSS scope display. Could it be that as usual when one can't understand how to use a feature, they simply turn to bad mouthing it?

I've used both the typical waterfall and the 3DSS displays. IMO, if you set it up correctly, and understand what you're looking at, it is a much less cluttered, pleasing to the eye band scope display. But what do I know? LOL

Was up early working some DX, and heard a familiar voice on 20 meters. Had no idea he was recording, and then going to post on YouTube. Pretty neat. Hear is a clip of my brief QSO with Valery in Moscow, Russia I was on the Yaesu FTDX101MP, @ 1KW with the Palstar LA-1K, into my Force12 11 element Yagi which is at 115ft, pointed in his direction of course.
