The Baobab tree, native to African savannahs, is known for its massive trunk, which stores water during rainy seasons. Found in 32 African countries, Madagascar, and northwest Australia, these trees symbolize life and resilience in arid environments. Some specimens are over 2,500 years old and grow up to 30 meters high with a 50-meter circumference. Notable examples include the Sagole Big Tree in South Africa. Baobabs have lightweight wood, often providing shelter and resources to surrounding communities.
