Interstate 84 will close between Pendleton and Ontario between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. to allow crews to manage the Durkee Fire near the Interstate. ODOT announces it will close "for the next three to five nights". If other highways need to close in the area, they will close during the same time. ODOT says to use tripcheck.com prior to traveling to be prepared.

The TripCheck website provides roadside camera images and detailed information about Oregon road traffic congestion, incidents, weather conditions, services and commercial vehicle restrictions and registration.

The Next Chapter Bookstore was our sponsor yesterday for the Great Summer Giveaway / END OF SUMMER FARM TO TABLE FEAST WITH WALCHLI FARMS!

And now they are doing this??? We're excited!

SURPRISE! Everyone's favorite stripe-wearing friend is hiding out around Hermiston this month!

The Next Chapter is hosting Hermiston's first ever event, and we have organized over 20 local hiding spots for Waldo! Starting tomorrow, July 2nd, kids middle school age and younger can pick up a "Find Waldo in Hermiston" Stamp Card and start the hunt around town. We will post the list of local hideouts tomorrow, and Waldo searchers will have until July 27th to get as many signatures/stamps in their stamp cards as possible before our big celebration!

To fill out your stamp card, just find the little Waldo stand hiding in a participating location (you'd better start at The Next Chapter!) and get a square stamped or signed. Kiddos that find Waldo in 10+ locations by the 27th get a special sticker and coupon, and those that find Waldo in 20+ locations by the 27th will be entered into our Grand Prize Drawing! We will throw a HUGE Find Waldo party on Saturday, July 27th to celebrate 🥳

Keep your eyes open for our participating location announcement tomorrow, July 2nd!
