HONOR MEMORIAL DAY.
I went to get some auction winnings yesterday, and I started to wish the gentleman who helped me, "Happy Memorial Day." In case you don't know me, I stopped wishing people Happy Memorial day, since recently I changed my attitude on this weekend. I realized the missions that have taken the lives of millions of Americans over the centuries is not a thing to celebrate. It's a time to mourn, to remember, to be thankful. I can sit on my computer, and type whatever is on my mind, because of the inalienable rights for which these women and men have fought.
So now I'm met with a simple word from my helper, who as it turns out, is a military brat like me. He says, "Honor Memorial Day" to me. Duty, honor, courage, the values the military value. I think we could do to follow those values, even if for a day.
And for now, honor anyone who laid down life, family, country, the little things of home, to make this country better. As I grill our steaks, jump in our pool, and play with our dogs this weekend, join with me, and Honor Memorial Day.
