Tom Selleck is finally back in the public eye, but his appearance is worrying fans.❀

Tom Selleck loves his private life. He lives off the map on a farm, and cherishes his life outside the spotlight. However, he remains dedicated to his work, and that was true for Blue Bloods until the very end.

Selleck's first public appearance since leaving Blue Bloods looked tired and had a beard, which gave fans a lot to say about Selleck's unrecognizable appearance. It's a far cry from the clean-cut look fans are used to seeing, but that's perfectly fine, especially considering Selleck's age.

Blue Bloods still has a lot of fans scratching their heads, and that's Sami Gayle's Nicky Reagan.πŸ₯Ή

Blue Bloods has had Gayle play the smart and mature Nicky for her age since the first season, and she wasn't actually the face of the second Columbia University graduate of the Reagan family in the show's pilot episode. Real Life and Law & Order actress Marlene Lawston originally played Nicky Reagan in her final on-screen role. Since Lawston and Gayle have very little in common in terms of appearance, it's hard for fans not to wonder when watching the pilot episode compared to the rest of the series. Fans aren't sure why the actress was recast, but the huge difference in their appearances is disappointing. While the recasting may seem odd, it's actually not that unusual. There are a number of reasons β€” from plot changes to cast chemistry β€” that could have led to the actress playing Nicky Reagan being replaced

It's not hard to find threads praising Jamie Reagan, but when it comes to their favorite Jamie episode, there's one that stands out above and beyond.😍

Overall, fans love Jamie's relationship with his fellow cop and onetime partner Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray). The show has charted their romance since she joined the show in Season 4, but one episode that fans love in particular is the Season 8 finale, titled "My Aim Is True."

The episode involves the fictional "Prospect Park Six," a group of wrongfully convicted men who have been exonerated. In the episode, the Prospect Park Six hire a hitman to kill the family members of the cops who arrested them, which puts Jamie in their crosshairs. When the hitman comes for Jamie, Eddie arrives just in time and shoots the hitman first. Then, the two shared an emotional hug under the bridge. "I literally gasped and stood in the middle of my living room with mouth wide open and hands on my heart," Fans wrote about the scene.

Otherwise, the episode is a milestone because it's not just the first time Eddie attended a fabled Regan family dinner, it's also the episode when they announced their engagement to the family.

If you need more proof that fans just love Jamie and Eddie, consider how disappointed they were when "Blue Bloods" skipped over the couple's wedding. In the same thread, many fans sarcastically replied that Jamie and Eddie's wedding was their favorite moment on the show. Jamie and Eddie have been married for years, but fans aren't letting that one go.

On "Blue Bloods," Reagan family patriarch Frank (Tom Selleck) famously doesn't have much of a personal life, always putting his job as NYPD Commissioner and his role as a father first. The last time Frank was involved with anyone was when he was married to his wife and the mother of his four children, Mary Margaret. She died in 2005, before the "Blue Bloods" timeline takes place.

For his part, Tom Selleck has been asked repeatedly about whether he thinks Frank should have a new love interest, and he's not interested. In Grace's case, Frank would never date the wife of a fallen friend. More generally, Selleck sees Frank as a "lone man," an archetype in crime and detective fiction who's fated to always be, well, alone.

Despite what Selleck thinks, some "Blue Blood" fans are going to wish that Frank would get with someone new already, (for the record, so do Frank's kids). One recurring character in particular tends to inspire these discussions. Since she just popped up on the show, that's led fans to wonder if she and Frank might get together.

It's Sloane Thompson (Alex Kingston), former commander of the City of London Police. She just appeared on Season 12 episode 9, which is titled "Firewall" and aired on December 10, 2021.

Frank and Sloane have some history together. Sloane first appeared in the 17th episode of Season 6, "Friends in Need," which aired in 2016. In that episode, Sloane traveled to New York City to study the NYPD's tactics. The two clearly had some level of attraction for each other, but Frank bristled when Sloane tried to get too close to him.

In "Firewall," the shoe was on the other foot. This time around, the NYPD brought in Sloane to assist with a cyber crime investigation, and Frank dug into her past and the reason why she left the London PD. She caught him, and he had to apologize.

Now that Frank's and Sloane's cards are all on the table, it's possible that some kind of romance might blossom. On the other hand, it's difficult to imagine the career-focused Frank making room in his life for a new lover, especially one who lives across the Atlantic. Still, anything can happen, and a love interest for Frank would make a lot of fans happy.

Donnie Wahlberg revealed there were further fights between Danny and Jamie in Blue Bloods Season 13😱

Policing is a family business for the New York-bound Reagan clan in CBS' "Blue Bloods" β€” and yes, they fight like family when they're on the job and not just around the dinner table. Frank Reagan and his daughter, Erin, often fight over how things should be run. On the beat and in the streets, cops Danny and Jamie sometimes disagree about cases that they work. Although all of the Reagans love one another, they do not hesitate to do whatever they believe is right at the drop of a hat.

During Episode 6 of Season 13, "On Dangerous Ground," Jamie and Danny butted heads over their work once again. Jamie took on some of Danny's old duties when the former took on a promotion to become a Field Intelligence Sergeant. That resulted in Jamie both being secretive and running interference in one of Danny's cases β€” a gang-related shooting investigation that Danny had been heavily invested in due to his emotional involvement in it. The brothers ended the episode on unsettled terms. While Jamie insists he's just doing his job, Danny snaps and refers to his brother as an embarrassment. Fans have had periods of anxiety about their brotherly relationship

A good episode with some surprising and some heavy emotional elements. A good glimpse into the way Danny works, and a very hands on approach to Frank's support for Baker.

"Blue Bloods" Season 11, Erin suffers a significant career setback that, in contrast to such moments, compelled many viewers to express their sympathy for her, amounting to what is arguably the most heartbreaking moment from throughout Erin's tenure on the series.❀

When Season 11 Episode 2 of "Blue Bloods" begins, Erin learns that her boss Samar Charwell (Aasif Mandvhi) has been arrested, leaving his Manhattan District Attorney position open. Erin is open about wanting to take his spot, but eventually learns that the promotion went to someone else with arguably better qualifications. While this decision seemingly makes sense from her superiors' point of view, viewers are well familiar with Erin's dedication to her work, making this a moment even her biggest detractors should find heartbreaking.

Of course, as the series continues, what is quite possibly Erin's lowest moment thus far may end up making any future career successes all the more satisfying

Eddie Janko-Reagan (Vanessa Ray) has long been a familiar character on "Blue Bloods," and it seems like some fans had issues with Eddie in the early episodes of Season 13, but why?😱

The second episode of Season 13, titled "First Blush," saw a number of events shake up the Reagan family dynamic. This included Frank not supporting a candidate for Manhattan District Attorney, a philandering author, and Jamie being transferred to a different police station. This final story arc saw Eddie fuming at being excluded from Jamie's work life, and this aspect left fans angry.

In other words, it seems like "Blue Bloods" fans aren't exactly fond of Eddie's current attitude and personality. They're hoping she shows a little more professional restraint in future episodes.

Reagan family has claimed their seat at the table, there was a moment in Season 10 that changed the family dinner table forever.😍

When "Blue Bloods" returned for Season 10, the Reagan family made room for one more, and their last name was not Reagan. Lenny Ross (Treat Williams), Frank's former partner, became the first guest at the table during Season 10, Episode 1, "The Real Deal." Williams told , "I was very honored that I was invited to the family dinner. No outsider had ever had dinner with the family."

Since then, other guests, like Erin Reagan's colleague Anthony Abetemarco (Steve Schirripa), have passed the dishes around the table. And each guest brings their own personality to the dinnertime conversation, including Jamie's wife, Eddie (Vanessa Ray), who gets a seat at the table in Season 9, Episode 1, "Playing with Fire," which follows her and Jamie's engagement. Executive producer Kevin Wade told , "It's an injection of nitrous oxide into that dinner table. It throws off the balance– in a good way."

Whether it be a guest or a member of the Reagan family, each remembers their first time sitting at that table. For Donnie Wahlberg, claiming the seat right next to Tom Selleck was intimidating. He told , "My dad used to wear a mustache a lot, and he's very intimidating and he sat at the head of the table like that. It was sort of traumatizing for me to sit there and have to come in on my first day of shooting the series and just basically take over the dinner table."

Tom Selleck might be 79 years old, but this hard-working actor can still manage to pull in an audience. "Blue Bloods," Selleck's police drama on CBS, had a whopping 6 million viewers early in 2022, an impressive feat for a show about to enter its 13th season in a Friday night primetime spot. As Frank Reagan, New York City's Police Commissioner, Selleck plays the family patriarch and a dignified man of the law β€” but obviously, this isn't his first time playing law enforcement.

Fans of Selleck will know him, and his iconic mustache, as Thomas Magnum in the '80s Hawaiian crime-drama, "Magnum, PI." However, Selleck's penchant for playing a police officer doesn't stop there, since he's also starred in the popular Hallmark/CBS made-for-TV film series "Jesse Stone."

For "Friends" fans out there, Selleck will always be Dr. Richard Burke, one of Monica's most memorable boyfriends. While things didn't work out for Monica and Richard, Selleck's lengthy career in Hollywood (he's been working in the film industry for over 40 years now) has solidified into legend.
