This is what is going on between the Current governor FUBARA, and the former governor WIKE, in Rivers State now 💣💣😮😮😱😱

There is a political crisis between the current governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and the former governor and now minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. The two leaders were once allies, but they have fallen out over the control of the state and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State.

According to some news reports, Wike is plotting to use the Rivers State House of Assembly to impeach Fubara, who is his successor and protégé.The impeachment move is said to be backed by 23 lawmakers loyal to Wike, led by the Speaker, Martin Amaewhule. The lawmakers have accused Fubara of mismanagement, corruption, and incompetence.

However, Fubara has dismissed the impeachment threat as baseless and unfounded. He has also sacked some of his aides who are believed to be loyal to Wike, such as his Chief of Staff, Chidi Amadi, and the Chief Security Officer of Government House, Promise Wosu. Fubara has also received support from some of his loyal lawmakers, such as the Majority Leader, Edison Ehie, who was removed by the pro-Wike faction.

The crisis has also led to violence and unrest in the state. On Sunday night, unknown arsonists set ablaze the hallowed chamber of the State Assembly, where the impeachment proceedings were supposed to take place. On Monday morning, there were sporadic gunshots and tear gas at the Assembly complex, as well as protests by some residents who opposed the impeachment move.

The situation in Rivers State is tense and volatile. It is unclear how the crisis will be resolved or what impact it will have on the state and national politics.

Stop Saying "In Addy". It Is Wrong. Find Out The Right Thing To Say

The English Language is a foreign language, so we can't get hold of the correct usage most of the times. We tend to often misuse words or using the wrong words in a sentence. Now in this post I will like to make some corrections of some words we have been saying wrongly.

Examples of such words

1. "In Addy" : Nigerians mostly use the word 'Addy' to denote advance. People usually use it to happy birthday in advance. But the correct meaning of the word is address.

Example: Can I have your addy?

Instead of saying" in Addy to you", say "in advance to you"

2. Belated:

Most Nigerians tend to use the word belated whenever they are wishing someone a happy birthday. But the correct use of belated is when wishing happy birthday to the person when it is late. Maybe you did not have the opportunity to send them the wish on the day, and their birthday have past.

3. Complement:

Some people use this spelling of 'complement' as greeting. But what this spelling denotes is 'to complete' or 'augment'. The right way to spell the one used as greeting is 'compliment'

Here are eight interesting facts about the traditional Yoruba culture:

1. According to Yoruba mythology, all Yoruba people are descendants from the hero Odua or Oduduwa.

2. The language of the Yorubas, known as Yoruba, belongs to the Congo-Kordofanian language family. The language has many dialects, but most of its speakers are able to understand each other.

3. The Yoruba homeland is located in west Africa, with most Yoruba living in Nigeria. There are also some scattered groups in small neighbouring countries, Togo and Benin.

4. The Yoruba are one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa.

5. The Yoruba are a very sociable and expressive people who commemorate major events with colorful festivals and celebrations. Weddings, naming ceremonies, funerals and even housewarming parties are celebrated in a lavish and ceremonial nature.

6. As many as 20 percent of the Yoruba still practice the traditional religion of their ancestors. A large number of modern Yoruba also combine traditional Yoruba beliefs with modern day religions such as Islam and Christianity.

7. About 75 percent of the Yoruba men are farmers, producing food crops for their domestic needs. Women help plant yams and harvest corn, beans, and cotton.

8. The Yoruba present the highest rate of twin births in the world. This may be because of high consumption of a specific type of yam containing a natural phytoestrogen which may stimulate the ovaries to release an egg from each side. Twins are very important for the Yoruba; they are given special names and inspire wooden sculptures.

BREAKING: Mbaka not removed as Head of Adoration Ministry ~~Catholic Diocese

The authorities of the Enugu Catholic Diocese have clarified that Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka was not removed as Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, as the spiritual director as widely reported on social media.

The Diocese, which expressed love for Mbaka as an illustrious son, said Mbaka was only asked to take time away in solitude to listen to what the Spirit of God has to tell him.

It is the Great Iroko's Birthday; we can't keep calm!!!

Today is the birthday of the Great Iroko of our time, the Lion from the East", a symbol of strength and courage, our one and only indefatigable Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, ofu onye anasi unu abiala.

Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu could best be described as a visionary leader who believes in the emancipation of a race unjustly impoverished over the years in a nation that has since lost the essence of its existence. He is a fierce and fearless leader, who stands up against oppression, injustice and reckless massacre of the people of his tribe, whom he cannot trade for anything in this world.

As you are all aware, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was abducted in Kenya, and forcefully renditioned to Nigeria, and has been incarcerated in the dungeon of Nigeria's Department of State Services (DSS), Abuja for over 14 months now. Is he broken and/or given up hope? The answer is no! Even with his ailing health, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains firm in his convictions, while his dogged legal team is assiduously working towards his unconditional release, which is sacrosanct.

We seize this opportunity of Onyendu's birthday to thank this selfless man, for boldly accepting the huge responsibilities on his shoulders of emancipating his beloved people from their tyrant oppressors to the impairment of his freedom and separation from his family and comfort. The life of Onyendu is simply an inspiration and posterity will forever be kind to him.

An astute intellect indeed! Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the "man who saw tomorrow". As you all can testify to, most, if not all of Onyendu's predictions eventually came to pass... His guidance and direction were truly inspirational and such a blessing to everyone who crossed his path.

On this special day in the life of Onyendu, his legal team and I just want to thank him for his phenomenal invaluable leadership. He makes the work seamless for us. We pray for renewed courage and strength he requires to continue holding on tenaciously until the final victory.

We declare and decree Psalm 91 upon the life of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and enjoin you all to always pray this prayer for him. Onyendu dwells in the secret place of the most High, hence he abides under the shadow of the Almighty. Chukwuokike Abiama is his refuge and his fortress, in Him Onyendu trusts. BREAKING: Boko Haram Terrorists Announce Presence In South-West Nigeria, Attack Policemen

The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihād says its men attacked a police vehicle in Ondo State.

According to ISWAP in a statement seen by SR, the attack which was carried out by “soldiers of the caliphate” occurred in Ipele, Owo Local Government Area of the state.

It claimed the fighters targeted an operational vehicle of the police with machine guns, which led to its damage. The group was however silent on if there was a casualty or not.

The attack if truly executed by ISWAP could be a hint that the terror group is making an incursion into the South Western part of Nigeria.

ISWAP had claimed expansion into Abuja, Kogi, and Taraba in the last six months.

In May 2022, the group said it was behind an explosion that rocked the ancient town, Kabba in the Kogi West Senatorial District.

Kabba is the headquarters of the Kabba/Bunnu LGA and the people speak a dialect of Yoruba called Owe.
