June 2nd was my first follow-up after two surgeries last fall and my radioactive iodine therapy in January to treat thyroid cancer.

I am so happy to share that my first scans and blood work showed NED!! Appointment in another six months.

Y'all, cancer hits so many people. I know as hard as this has been for me, there are others who are fighting an even harder battle than mine. Please keep all those with this awful disease lifted in prayer. I certainly felt each prayer!

Well, my friends, back in the fall when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, my intentions were to share my journey. And I still have those plans. It's hard to explain, but I have really had to internalize and work on healing and getting stronger. There have been setbacks and there have been miracles, too. One step at a time; one day at a time. Thanks for extending grace for my intermittent updates.
