Women’s Club had a successful start to the new year at tonight’s monthly meeting. Plans were discussed for upcoming events and decisions were made on contributions to worthy causes in the community. Special thanks to Evelyn Wood, Sandy Johnson, Tawny Acker and Paula Boggs for delicious food and beverages. Fun activity included a gift exchange. Watch for future announcements about our community activities!

We are so appreciative to the four homeowners for opening up their beautiful houses to this community for the annual Tour of Homes. Each house was so special and we thank the public for supporting us! It was such a great day!

Hazard-Perry County Women’s Club Tour of Homes is December 15

Seeing the creativity and the beauty of residences all dressed up for Christmas is a highlight many can enjoy during the Hazard-Perry County Women’s Club Tour of Homes on Sunday, December 15, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are only $20 to see four houses – Tom Liperote and Trish Noble at 175 Ridgeview Way; Kenny and Teresa Dunn at 72 St. Kitts in Phoenix Place; and two houses at The Meadow, located off of Ky. 80, near the Perry County-Knott County line: Timothy and Kelly Goins, 245 Solomon Lane and Jamie and Tonya Gibson, 643 Defenders Lane. Refreshments will be served at each home.

Tickets can be purchased at the door at each home or from any women’s club member. Tickets also available at The Decorating Center on Morton Blvd.

Women’s Club President Paula Boggs noted, “Proceeds from this tour will be used to make Christmas extra special for families in our community. We’re excited to revisit the Jamie and Tonya Gibson house because they have even more exciting and new new decorations this year. All the houses will be exquisite and we look forward to seeing everyone on Dec. 15.”
