Hi, I'm Pattie I'm the C.H.C. (Cozy Home Creator) behind Homestead Redesign. I hope you will join me here and at I hope I can teach you many things.

About Us, I have always been a fan of anything DIY, I remember from a young age sitting with a hardhat on at one of my grandfathers job sites. I'm someone who can look at something and just see something different than what it was originally made for. Until more recently, I worked in the food ser

vice business. I have even at one point started my own little sandwich shop and prepared foods gig. I have always wanted to make my own things happen! All of these past endeavors have led me here, with you! My hopes for this page are simple, I hope to inspire you to think outside the box. I want this to be a one stop shop for everything "HOME". I want to inspire and encourage you in every part of your home from the kitchen, workshop, garden, and craft room. I would love to see you blossom into the CHC (Cozy Home Creator)of your family. I'm a sucker! Earlier I saw the pastel Halloween items at Michael's. Now, I have a pink ghost! Do I like pink NO, do I decorate for Halloween, NO!
When you cut something that's just been sitting it's time to make it. What color should I do the bottom of this macrame ghost? Of course I'm NOT thinking cord because I do have some pretty fabric laying around.

When you have a great idea and then run with it for the next holiday. These Easter bunny dog tags were very popular during Easter. So you design a set for Christmas and add the kitty's too!

Exciting things ahead!
I have been quiet recently. Alot of EXCITING things happening for us!

1st we have a space in a retail craft shop called Cat's Craft Corner in Douglasville, PA.

2nd we have launched the website and are selling on goimagine (where all of their profits go to children in need!)
AND
3rd we have just been approved to sell our handmade goods on AMAZON!
I'm so excited! I have some really great products ready to launch.

Don't know who the author is, but this is right on track!! Dear Everyone,
The workers at your local Post Office are struggling this time of year. Everyone is working insanely long hours in an attempt to get all of your packages and mail delivered. So many more people order so many things online now.
Postal vehicles and personal vehicles are only so big. Two boxes of 50 lb. dog food fill up the back of an SUV, then add boxes of toilet tissue and paper towels and the back seat is nearly full. (Please don't take this as a complaint it's just for example). Now throw in a few hundred Christmas gifts, each carrier delivers to 500+ addresses each day. And the actual mail for those 500+ residents take up a significant amount of space in the vehicle.
Typically, carriers have 200+ scan/tracking parcels daily. And then from September through January that number doubles, triples or more. After Thanksgiving and cyber Monday the number of packages is unimaginable. The number of our employees DOES NOT double or triple. The size of their vehicles DOES NOT increase. But the number of trips to reload their vehicles DOES triple or quadruple. This adds SIGNIFICANT time to our day. With all these extras, unfortunately your mail carrier will not be delivering during the same time frame you are used to.
So please, have some compassion. Think about how much YOU order and multiply that by the 500+ other homes that YOUR carrier delivers to each day.
We are working hard 7 days a week to get it done. UNFORTUNATELY, we will make mistakes. We get frustrated as well. We are already exhausted. If you ordered an enormous package and we leave a notice that you need to come pick it up at your local post office, PLEASE consider doing so with grace. Yes, it is our job to deliver, but it would be a blessing if you could pick it up. There is always going to be that someone who says “it’s your job! It’s what you signed up for!” However, many of us started pre Amazon and pre Covid when package volume and package weight was way less than it is now. We are trying to uphold the integrity of the USPS.
Some of us are more than halfway towards retirement. The job we signed up for 5,10, 15 or 20 years ago is not the job we are now doing. But still, we take pride in our job and are doing our BEST.
So as we complete the next few weeks until Christmas, please extend some ” Peace on Earth, goodwill toward man” to all of your DELIVERY WORKERS.

Help, we are redoing our bedroom. I want to go green. I'm desperately trying to stay away from blue. Our room is north facing so the lighting isn't the best during the day. Our current furniture is very traditional and a light cherry color. The furniture is definitely staying and not changing. It was Dave's grandmother's and it's really beautiful. I would love to try to bring in more of a rustic feel. So what one would you choose of these 3 or option 4 is keep looking. I probably have every quilt made saved in my phone and can't make a decision.

So when does everyone put up their Christmas decorations? I'm excited to this year. Last year we did a little decorating, but it was hard in between unpacking boxes. This is our first real Thanksgiving in the house last year it was lasagna as we were unloading the trucks. I can't believe it's been a year already. The start of my decorating was the bathroom.

I know everyone will probably join me in my excitement over these. I have been looking for acrylic paint storage solutions. I happened to be a hobby lobby at just the right time. They are redoing their paint isle and these are the racks they use for their paint displays. They were only $10.00 each. I thought it was a great find! What do you use for storage?

I think Dave thought I was sick and actually asked me what was wrong. When he came home and I was sitting down watching TV. Not next to the computer or painting something. I have 3 days off and just needed a quick reset before I get to my Etsy /tiktok orders. If you are waiting for an order just know that I will be shipping everything I have as of right now tomorrow. The crazy is starting to hit me and I needed some mindless me time today. Happy Friday eve. What are you doing tonight?
