Got a thrill on Sunday when a photo I shot a while back on a recreated Mobil gas station in Millerton, NY was used on the front of a commemorative t-shirt put out by Prospect's annual Sock Hop and Car Show on the town green. The photo was also used on signage on street leading to the event. More than 400 t-shirts were ordered and they quickly sold out. - The the 19th annual Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Classic Car Show at Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center at 100 Lyme St. in Old Lyme, CT. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. Entry $20 (for driver and one passenger), spectators $5. Rain or shine.

- The Advance Auto Parts Car Show from 2 to 5 p.m. at 701 Main Street in East Hartford, CT.

Sunday (July 28)

- Fourth annual Ellie’s Birthday Charity Car Show from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Southington Drive-In at 995 Waterbury-Meriden Road in Southington, CT.

- The Cortes family presents the Truck Bar Car Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 151 Wesbter Swuare Road in Berlin, CT. Entry $5.

- The Cruise-In Car Show at Two Roads Brewing Company from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1700 Stratford Avenue in Stratford, CT.

- Premier Auto Tag Services Car & Bike Show at 2 p.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 1230 Newfield Avenue in Stamford, CT.

If you're curious about Moto Guzzi models, a demo truck from Moto Guzzi will visit Hamlin Cycles in Bethel, CT on Saturday (July 27) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All riders are invited to try out new models from the Italian manufacturer. The visit is part of an Open House that includes food and a live remote by I-95 radio.
