I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has reached out, donated your time, food, or funds in support of my family and me as we navigate the profound loss of our beloved son. His sudden passing on the football field, a place he held so dear, has left a void in our lives that is indescribable.
I'm still unsure how to process all that has happened. No explanation will ever bring me to fully understand just what took place. I wake up daily with questions. This has left me lost, confused, frustrated, angry, sad, and ultimately broken from the inside. But, I push forward because I have to, not because I want to. I push forward because Elijah-Jay never quit. So, therefore, I can't quit.
I don't know what today brings anymore, and even scarier, I have no clue what tomorrow has in store for me. But I do know that with God's grace and mercy, my family and I will survive. With the love and support that you all have shown, we will survive. With the endless prayers from families, players, staff, coaches, our Windsor community, and the community worldwide, we will survive. God has a plan, and through this storm, my family and I will hold on to Him and His promise to us.
I can't thank you all enough for everything that you've done for us. We are eternally grateful for your unwavering support. Your kindness and compassion have been a lifeline in our darkest hours, and we draw strength from your love and prayers.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
