On Sunday, I had the opportunity to create a Menstrual Wellness Station for the Back to School Fair behind Fresh 5 Deli on behalf of Love Your Menses
For those that do not know I've been the CT Program Coordinator since March 2023 and the mission is to end period poverty and make menstrual product and health education accessible for all! I've had some really great collaborations and this one was one of my favorites!
Thank you to Maurice 'Splash' Eastwood and the Seek Therapy team for giving us the space to share the mission and give back. We were honored to supply over 200 menstrual kits to students and adults alike, and even open the door for many Fathers & Mothers who don't know how to start the conversation with their daughters to have support they otherwise may have shyed away from.

Earlier this month, I had a night to remember at @thewebsterct in Hartford! Watching KRS-One perform was incredible, but what made it truly special was seeing my mentors, @djqboogie (founder of the @femaledjassociation) and @dj_jimmy_jam (the first to show me scratching techniques), open for THE teacher! My girl @jennyboomboom was hosting, and one of my favorite local artists & humans, @pocahtherebel , was an opening act. It felt like all of my favorites in one place. Everyone was phenomenal, and it was a powerful reminder of the impact mentors can have on your journey. I even got the chance to meet @teacha_krsone and @djtonycrush! Keep believing, keep striving, & support your local artists.

Last year, I had the pleasure of being invited to play Hip Hop from classics, to today's mainstream, with a solid balance of local Hip Hop artists in a Silent Party style exhibit during the 50th Anniversay of Hip Hop at The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art! 🎨
TODAY, I'm playing in the same room surrounded by EUROPEAN Art and presenting a musical journey Through the African Diaspora with a djembe presentation, body painter, dancer, and vocalists sponsored by @afrohrs. 🎭

At night, I was honored to be a special guest co-host for the Ronin Battle League event 'The Warm Up' at @thehartfordartery because I FINALLY got to see with the current rap battle scene is like in person around these parts. @teddy_toronto_ has been a solid curator and organizer in this lane and I'm happy to be able to witness it up close. Everybody came to win and brought that heat! I went home ready to roast my kids 🤣 @teddy_toronto_ I'm so proud of the elevation and commitment you bring to your craft and supporters 🙌🏾📈🔥
