It was great to catch up with Kerry Butler. I have had the pleasure of booking her for Sirius Radio when she was starring in “Xanadu” on Broadway. I have always enjoyed Kerry’s work. She has a beautiful voice. Kerry is starring with Marissa Jaret Winokur and Laura Bell Bundy in the Off Broadway Show “Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now.” All three originated roles in “Hairspray” on Broadway and have stayed close friends. Today I went with Theresa to a BAFTA screening of the powerful film “Unstoppable.” It is based on the real life story of Anthony Robles who was born with one leg and became a wrestling champion. Jennifer Lopez gives a strong performance as Anthony’s mother. Jennifer was at the event and participated in a panel after the film which also included Anthony Robles himself along with Jharrel Jerome who plays Anthony. I highly recommend seeing this dynamic and moving film.
