Mayor Wanda Williams, in coordination with Park Harrisburg's Nancy Keim, is offering all city residents FREE PARKING at the 214 Locust Street Garage.

The free parking is available from now until 8am Tuesday morning.

Please consider taking advantage of this offer so that Public Works can pretreat and maintain safe roadways.

Public Works will begin their work at 3-4am and will also be collecting refuse while treating city streets.

Brrr, it’s chilly! ❄️ Our pets feel the cold too. Keep them indoors during extreme cold and limit outdoor trips. If you go out, dress them in pet-friendly sweaters, jackets, or booties to keep them warm and protect their paws. 🐾

If you notice signs of cold stress (shivering, lethargy), warm them up ASAP and contact a vet if needed. 🐕

2024 Shop with a Cop! ✅🎁 Harrisburg police officers, community service aides, and officers from other local law enforcement agencies attended Harrisburg Area Police Athletic League's annual Shop With A Cop sponsored by Walmart Harrisburg. Officers helped over 100 kids shop for gifts for their families.

We had a great time at Harrisburg Housing Authority's Season of Smiles Parade! 🎄 This annual event spreads holiday cheer by distributing toys to low-income families in our community, ensuring every child receives the perfect Christmas gift. 🎁

Our Community Service Aides attended the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk this past weekend on City Island. This is an annual event hosted by the American Cancer Society to support its goals of funding breast cancer research, offering free resources, and helping individuals lower their breast cancer risk or detect it early when treatment is more effective.

We had a great time at the Halloween Bash at the Brownstone last night! We saw some amazing costumes and handed out plenty of treats. 🍬🎃🍭

We recently partnered with Recycle Bicycle, the Harrisburg Bicycle Club, and the League of American Bicyclists to host a bike safety event in Hall Manor. Participants received free bike repairs, DIY tips for maintaining their bikes, as well as helmets and valuable safety information to help them ride safely!
