Mount Everest Nepali and Indian Cuisine cut the ribbon on their new restaurant in Strawberry Square at 19 N. 3rd St. on Tuesday. Owners Shree Paija and Sarita Lama also own Khana Indian Bistro in Hershey and decided to bring their cuisine to Harrisburg to fill a need for Indian/Nepalese food in the city.

Harrisburg Academy shared that it will host a group of Chinese students and educators this week as part of an exchange opportunity with the Beijing New Oriental Foreign Language School at Yangzhou in China. Central PA MLK Day of Service held its opening ceremony to kick off the day of volunteering on Monday, with a delayed start due to the snow. At the ceremony, which took place at Marshall Math Science Academy, several community members received "Drum Major for Justice Awards."
