welcome to The Zen Den! My little 7x10 space where the work really happens BEFORE we are out in front of people. Playing, discovering, editing, planning, recording, practicing, mixing, meeting, collaborating… it all goes in HERE.

I do know that KOP Mall is the biggest mall on the east coast by all means of comparison, but also bigger than Mall of America as far as retail square footage. So ya, this is pretty big I guess 😅

As far as the actual event, and I spent a Sunday morning at the King of Prussia Mall to assist in entertaining guests as they shopped for a cause supporting Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

What a trip! 🏝️🚀🚗
3300 miles as a passenger princess, and I rolled all the way to Key West for and ‘s wedding. Bumped into a few buddies along the way, made some new friends, and had a true working vacation.
Huge shouts to Fuse and Ashley for having us, and once again thank you Demand for bringing me along. I can’t believe we went 10 days attached at the hip.

One year ago today, I DJ’d my first wedding with . Of course I was nervous even after all the weddings I’ve been a part of, so I asked my buddy to assist. I knew this one would sit with me forever, but not for the fact that it was the first one with the company.

Because it was special for them. More so than most other weddings.

The groom Ferdinand had been diagnosed with cancer, and thanks to the hard work of and the perfect team was brought together to give them a wedding that would really represent their love for eachother and their family.

It wasn’t massive. It wasn’t $800 a plate. We didn’t have robots or fireworks. Just family, friends, good music and togetherness.

Some weddings just teach you s**t, and we can all learn something from this in that YES it’s about a party. YES it’s about great food and spectacles and CELEBRATING your love, but without love, it’s nothing. Ferdinand really left it all on the dance floor that night, and though he passed in August, he will truly never be forgotten.

Shouts to you Fern, and Peggy, and your children. You’ve started me off on truly a humbling journey.

This sucks man. I really didn’t think it’d be this hard. She’s been fading, suffering for a while, and honestly I thought I was over it, and was either numb or just exhausted of the emotions of it all, but losing our Oma yesterday was far from expected. Maybe it’s because she’s made it through so many hiccups that how could this one be any different? She’s as tough as they come. Our fu**in rock. What do you do without your rock??
This is more for my opa, for my mom, for my uncles… who have lost a wife, a mother, a permanent piece of their lives until yesterday. Your condolences are all appreciated and passed on to them.
Wicked sorry if I’m a little distant or distracted for a bit. This is honestly the part that no one can train you for.

Getting the opportunity to do old friend’s weddings is the greatest honor, but I also have a hard time trusting any other DJ to such an important day for such important people. To me.
Getting to rock with Katie and Ben was the highest honor, and an amazing day with a TON of familiar faces. A dozen plus years later and we’re still jamming out together.

Halloween weddings go so hard! Can’t wait to post more from this past weekend Halloween wedding. The guests went so hard, I love how loose everyone was in their costumes, which made for such a fun night all round. I genuinely appreciate when couples do things their own ways, the decorations were spooky and the vibes were a little dark but so energized (probably from the 6000 smarties) and the music was eclectic and spooky sprinkled on top of some wild party. GROWTH. An oldie but a goody from @theparksavoy back in 2021. This was a GREAT party with a lot of early 2k jams specially in a pop punk vein which I love 😎 So many changes in our style, set up and execution since this wedding, one being I never wear suspenders or headphones anymore, but so many more. On the tech side we have upgraded a ton (see empty rack😅) from our microphones to sound control to speakers to lighting, it all comes together so much better now. As fun as upgrading the toys is, the experience I gain, the people I meet is the real journey. My ADHD mind loves different places and people and styles, working hard to overcome a challenge and definitely likes to make people smile. Why do I say all this? With @sceeventgroup I have officially booked 50 weddings for 2025. In 2024 I had/have 54 total. I am so happy to be where I am and to have grown year after year but it’s been hard to keep upping the baseline for myself. To really get that little bit better every chance you get. And honestly just proud of myself for patting myself on the back with this one. Shouts to so many of you that help make this possible. Something we have put effort into this year is live mixing everything we can. Teddi has been mixing for when guests enter into reception all year, and we started really customizing that portion for each individual wedding. A little extra, but Teddi gets to DJ her own portion at weddings, people get excited as they walk in the doors, and we start the night off RIGHT with a ton of energy. This also gives ME time to talk with the wedding party to set them up for intros, make sure other vendors are comfortable, and really focus on making sure the next 4 hours goes perfectly. #dj #weddingdj #djtips #weddingdjsetup #wedding
