Another sour🍺 to kick off the weekend. This is a smoothie-style sour, 450 Twisty, from 450 North Brewing Company, which is located in Indiana, but sold locally. The ingredients include pineapple, soft serve vanilla ice cream, marshmallow, vanilla cookie filling, and cookie butter. I was stoked to try this because the brewery’s new releases sell out quickly, but this fell short for me. It is smooth and I like the mix of sour (pineapple) and sweet, but the sour is more bitter, and not in a good way. There’s also an odd aftertaste that lingers, so I just couldn’t get on board with the hype, but that doesn’t mean you can’t!

On a scale of 1 (boo) to 5 (spooktacular), I give 450 Tasty a 3.

If you love a good, fruited sour, Ever Grain Brewing Co. doesn’t disappoint with the latest in their Sorbetto series. Sorbetto #45 was aged on sweet mango, tropical lychee, and fluffy marshmallow 🤤 and is perfectly tart, balanced well with a light sweetness. Lactose (milk sugar) makes this smooth and creamy, but not too thick.
On a scale of 1 (being boo) to 5 (spooktacular), I give this a strong 4.5. Ever Grain sours are some of my favs and they sell out quick, so check this one out soon!
