Lancaster, PA hip-hop artist DeJuan Rosado, aka grew up with music in church. When he began creating his own music, he pulled from artists that he felt had substance in their lyrics, and he tries to provide substance in his music as well.

Stillflow, a progressive indie rock band from Lancaster, began as the duo Thunder Smith and Alex Hart. Started during the pandemic, they wrote a lot of music over FaceTime.
