A lot of people don’t know what autism really is they just know the stereotypes. Once my family read up on autism it was so unbelievably obvious to all of them that I was in fact autistic. I feel like I’m in an endless cycle of feeling better, going out and taking on life responsibilities, and then crashing and burning. I’m forcing myself to rest for my own mental health but I would so much rather be productive and do fun things. Autistic burnout is so tricky and it’s taken all the joy out of my life. I made a video 2 days ago saying that we are going to start seeing victims of hurricane Helene be criminalized for trying to survive in the after math of the destruction. Unfortunately I was correct. We are now seeing police protecting corporations instead of protecting citizens in need. We are also seeing the news talk about “looting” and ask why people didn’t evacuate and putting the blame on them. These people are no different from you and they need help. #hurricanhelene
