Firefighters made an aggressive knockdown on a fire involving a house in the Bloomsdale neighborhood of Bristol Township early Wednesday evening. Emergency responders arrived on the scene with heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of a residence with exposure to a neighboring home. Crews from several fire companies quickly arrived on the scene; established water supply from nearby hydrants went in service with multiple handlines to put water on the fire and bring the incident under control within the hour.

On the scene were Edgely, Third District, Levittown #2, Croydon, Newportville and Morrisville Fire Companies as well as EMS from Levittown-Fairless Hills and rehab support from Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the Bristol Township Fire Marshal's Office.
