(HUMBLE BEGINNINGS) I’m the boss because I worked hard to get here, not once was I given anything I took it all, the moment a opportunity came I showed consistent growth! I started cooking in a broom closet🤦🏾‍♂️! I stayed humble until I was offered a chance to partner with a Carribean location in Killeen (pictured below) the city supported my vision. I remember weeks of no sleep trying to figure out what I was doing, this was so foreign running my own kitchen and not knowing how MUCH WORK it was! I graduated to a food truck and IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT I WAS SET......NOOOOO.... I ran into so many issues and became so discouraged until I let the truck get taken😞😞!!!! Determination derives in form of many/mine was not being a failure in the eyes of my FAMILY OR SELF...... I owed it to myself the work and dedication put into Father and Son Soul/Seafood Kitchen as it became a reality OUT OF NOWHERE!! Staying focused and keeping the path I was recognized by a friend named Tyrone who owned a local Kitchen who was moving and offered his Building, I had no money at the time and was just previously BLOWN UP IN A TRUCK FIRE LOSING EVERYTHING 😢😢😢!!! I had $200 and some Food Stamps.......You know you can’t do anything alone in life right???? I had a wonderful group of individuals that believed in my potential and that motivation was enough to sign the lease the next day and use EVERYTHING I HAD ON GROCERIES. If it wasn’t for the grace period I wouldnt have been able to pay first months rent🥵, WE WENT TO WORK AND THROUGH TRIAL AND ERROR WE HAVE REMAINED OPEN 8 YEARS AND OVER A 8FIGURES IN SALES AND FURTHER LOOKING TO EXPAND!!! Follow your dreams and never let up on yourself, never let yourself down and you will eventually find where your place is!!! It’s hard to be a boss and work is involved, remember to learn how to follow thoroughly before calling yourself to lead!! ☮️
