Sophomore Cole Hendrickson earned him a “Playoff Performer”. It’s almost if Hendrickson looked at his team yesterday and said “Get on my back fellas, I’ll carry us to victory today.” The 2-way superstar did it all yesterday against Lowell Catholic. Hendrickson had 2 doubles, 4 RBI’s and added a walk, as well as going 6 innings on the mound. The sophomore has been crucial to Hanover Baseball’s success this year, and showed up when it mattered most yesterday!

Senior Captain Mary Kate Flynn is the HCTV MVP! Mary Kate will be attending Babson College next fall for basketball. Averaging 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 3.5 assists a game to lead the Hawks to a 16-5 season. She also shot 40% from the field and 46% from three. Flynn is the stat leader for every category on the team, but the most impressive part of her game is defense. On the defensive side of the ball, she averaged a jaw-dropping 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.

Mehki Bryan, a 2 sport captain and 3 sport athlete comes back from injury. You may remember Bryan as he was our first ever HCTV Athlete of the Week! Mehki received terrible news this past fall that would question his availability for hockey season. After sitting out in the Super Bowl and 2 months of Hockey, Mehki has returned to the rink. Coming off the bench for his first game back, Bryan received a standing ovation from the crowd, it was truly a special moment. In only his second game back, Bryan had a nice assist to Sophomore Cam Melone. Senior Captain John McDonald said, “he’s a leader to this team, really good playmaker who creates many scoring opportunities. It’s great to have him back.”

Our Rookie of the Year goes to the crafty freshman center, Addie Monahan. Monahan was a dominant player in the paint this year, as well as an elite perimeter shooting threat, AND played a crucial role in the Hawks playoff run this past season. Monahan has a bit of everything in her game, reminding us of a baby Mary Kate Flynn. With just this glimpse, we predict a very bright future with her and the Hanover basketball.

This week HCTV will be announcing its very first Winter Awards! Here at HCTV we are proud to announce that senior captain James Ritchies been awarded with our Unsung Hero award. James’s amazing contributions to this team were not talked about enough. James was one of the leading scorers and was also huge on the boards for the Hawks averaging the 2nd most rebounds a game. James averaged 7.6 points and 4.2 boards, and not only his offense was elite, His defense was aswell. These stats do not show the true impact James had on this team.
