Friends, a follower named Ashley reached out to me the other day. She was looking for advice on how to move forward after her family lost their home and all of their animals in a house fire. I don’t share things like this often. However, God put it on my heart to share this with you. Watching their story took me back to the day I lost everything in my own house fire. It’s devastating trying to move forward. Please feel free to leave her and her family a kind word or prayer in the comments. I know she will read them. If would like to donate, I’ve put her GoFundMe in this post.

This post is a very important one to me, so if you could take the time to read it and interact, I would be so grateful. You’ll understand why once you read the whole thing, I promise! Subscribers, you already know what this announcement is about. I shared it over there recently.

First, I want to acknowledge how grateful I am for all of my followers. In the last week, I’ve reached 500k on IG and 1 million on TT! In addition, I am so close to 2 million on FB and 300k on YouTube. So, thank you all so much for all of your support!! I have done all of this while also continuing to work full time, having our 3rd child, losing our home and our pets. Every day I thank God that I’m able to provide some kind of support to someone, even if it’s in a small way. You guys have given my life so much purpose. I will be forever indebted to you.

I don’t know if I have made it clear how much I value you and how connected I feel to each of you. So, to illustrate that point, here are some examples. I keep a list of every follower that has shared something personal with me whether it be a mental health struggle, a tragedy, a triumph. You have felt safe enough to share those things with me and I do not take that responsibility lightly. I’ve sent my own money to followers in need (it’s not something I talk about because I’m not wealthy, so I only have so much I can give). If I could help every single one of you the way you’ve helped me, I would. Unfortunately, it’s impossible. I still work full time, and I have young children so I’ve come to accept I can only do so much. However, it has still been on my heart to do more.

Thank you for sticking around this far into the post and finally, here is the announcement. My husband and I are starting a new project. It’s called: “Chaos to Calm: The 1 Day Organized Chaos Overhaul”. We will be traveling around to followers’ homes where we will spend one full day organizing and decluttering as much as we can. There will be additional benefits to the families like free organizational systems, a gift card to continue their decluttering and organizing journey, tons of free tools & PDFS, and more. I get hundreds of emails every day from people saying “I’m overwhelmed, I don’t know where to start, I have young kids and there’s no support system to help me”. To every one of these people, I just want to jump through the screen and get started. Unfortunately, I can’t. With this new project, however, I can help a little bit at a time.

We will be starting “Chaos to Calm” sometime in the next few weeks. For our first few sessions, we would like to minimize our travel so we will only be doing sessions within a radius of 2 or 3 hours from Northeast Missouri. If you think your home would be a great fit for this project, message me and we will spend a week reviewing submissions and go from there. One more note, we are not house cleaners. This is not a cleaning. This is strictly an organization and decluttering session.

Just a reminder, I earn very little from the content I create. If you would like to help the “Chaos to Calm” project, you can do so for FREE by interacting with my content (liking, sharing, commenting) as well as shopping from my Amazon Storefront. By starting your shopping there first, I get a commission that is NOT passed along to the consumer.

Thank you all so much for everything and I am so excited to begin helping even more households with this new project.

I don’t always check my messages. One, because there are so many of them it’s hard to get through them all. Two, because there are so many NASTY ones. But once in a while, like today, I’m feeling brave. And as expected, lots of nasty ones in there. But it leads me to the point of my post. I’ve begun taking strides to improve my mental health and change my outlook on life. From rising above the criticism and judgements of others to seeing each day as the gift it is and being happy from the moment I wake up (instead of my usual anxiety-filled dread). One big way I’ve begun making improvements is by reading and I mean A LOT of reading. So, each month I will share the books I’m reading as well as little snippets in them that I find helpful (that way you don’t have to read if you don’t want to).

One message I read today was from someone about my daughter’s bedroom (apartment). She said something along the lines of “You are so out of touch. What’s wrong with you? You’re in for a rude surprise one day.” Now I’m aware a lot of the vitriol hurled at me is due to other people’s envy or jealousy. I get it. I used to be the same way. But, we need to rise above those hateful thoughts or they consume our hearts. So, today’s snippet comes from Napoleon Hill’s Success Habits.

“Envy should be converted into gratitude. Whenever you see another person that has something that you would like to have but don’t, express gratitude in your heart that the other fellow does have it, and hope that you can catch up with him and be able to get that for yourself later on.”

Did you find today’s snippet helpful?? Let me know! -Aud

People assume I’m against home decor like flowers and trinkets. And I’m not. I love them. Before my house fire, my home had several personal touches like that. Even someone living minimal-ISH can have home decor. There were two main reasons I didn’t have a lot up to this point. 1. I needed to live in the house for a bit to decide what I needed. Big pieces like furniture are more obvious as to what’s needed. But the smaller pieces require a personal touch that until you’ve lived in a space and used a space, you don’t know what you want or need. It hasn’t taken me this long to decide, though. I could have made some purchases within a few months of moving in. I was hesitant for reason #2, which is that this house never felt like my home. My heart is still back in that home I lost. I don’t know if I’ll ever get my full heart here. I love my current home, absolutely love it. But part of me is still stuck in 2023. I felt by adding more personal touches like flowers and candles, I was betraying the part of Audrey that got left behind. But it’s not healthy to keep mourning the past. I’m trying to really embrace my present and look forward to the simple every day pleasures. I’ve begun slowing down a lot. I don’t mean to ramble. I’ll go into all of this in forthcoming videos for a series I’m starting, I really just wanted to make this post to show some of the personal touches I’ve added. I filmed my decorating in tomorrow’s YT video so if you want to check it out, as well as hear more of my rambling about these life changes 😂 Be sure to tune in Sunday, 2/2. -Aud

Here’s a brain dump I did before bed last night. Notice, 1. It’s messy 2. The thoughts are random 3. I organized it once I finished. A brain dump is VITAL to a calm, clear mind. Just get the thoughts onto paper. Don’t worry about what it looks like. Brain dump as many times as you need. Sometimes I will do one first thing in the morning and then right before bed. If you struggle turning off your brain in the night, keep a pad by your bed. If you wake up at 2 in the morning, do a brain dump. I guarantee you’ll be sound asleep in no time! 📝

My cancer scare had me evaluating my life. Am I soaking up enough of this world? Where was I dedicating my time? How did I feel about it? I made some big changes after that time of reflection. One thing I learned was that I was on my phone WAY too much. Yes, my job requires me to be on my phone. But, it was excessive. Constantly trying to check notifications, messages, comments, working on content. And then worse, I became aware as to just how much doom scrolling I did. Since then, I’ve been on my phone A LOT less. I am quick to grab a book over my phone. That empty feeling I used to feel from being glued to my phone is gone. I just want to remind you all, don’t forget to unplug. Yes, it sounds strange hearing a content creator advocate for spending less time on social media. Don’t get me wrong. I love you guys and I NEED your support to keep working. But, I care more about your mental well being. So, make sure you limit your scrolling. When you do scroll, make a list or follow your favorite content creators so you’re seeing their content and you don’t get lost in the black hole of doom scrolling. Set an alarm on your phone to limit your scrolling. And make sure the creators you are following make you feel happy and confident and motivated and cared for… if you’re left feeling empty after consuming someone’s content, consider unfollowing that person. ❤️ -Aud

Can you spot the differences??? I tackled reorganizing our pantry, it was long overdue. Like I always say life changes, organization changes. If you haven’t organized a space in a while, it’s highly likely that it no longer serves your current needs. Don’t forget to assess your spaces once in a while! I will be sharing the before & after of this project in an upcoming video, so stayed tuned! Comment LINKS for all of my organizational systems. -Aud

My planner came out today. I was really excited to share it. However, with this cancer scare, I’m just struggling. To hit my goals, I have had to have a “go getter” mentality. I’ve pushed myself for 3 years straight. But, I can’t right now. I’m tired. So, if you could do me a favor and share this planner with your friends and family. Post about it on your stories. It’s super helpful to many that struggle with planning and using planners. I’ll share more about it when I’m back to myself. Thanks, Aud.
