Tomorrow night - join us in celebrating Erin Sweeney and her amazing artwork which is on view in our new community art gallery!
Her opening reception will be held tomorrow, September 16th, from 5:30pm-7:30pm!
Sweeney was recently selected by the NH Art Educator's Association as the 2021 recipient of the Outstanding Service Award. She is the creator of the Art Table Project, which provided free art project kits for curbside pick-up at the end of her driveway, during the pandemic. Later, she moved the project to curbside pick-up at the Peterborough Town Library. Over 2,000 kits in 2020/2021 were given out at the temporary library location. This project was funded in part by the generous funding of the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Sweeney’s exhibit will feature her independent art, including book sculpture and interactive book zines! Sweeney received her MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she was awarded the Elizabeth C. Roberts Prize for Graduate Book Arts.
