Was a good day of testing at Rock Falls Raceway with AmeriCuda Racing. Last run of the day had a perfect reaction time.

Once in a while the AmeriCuda has to make an appearance at a car show. However this coming Friday August 16th we'll be racing Rock Falls Raceway. Stop by and say hi!

Just starting my build on a welding/ fabrication table for the shop. 48x48. 5 inch total lock casters. 38.5 inches tall. ¼ plate with ¼ thick 2 inch angles welded underneath for extra strength every 12 inches. Lower shelf as well which doubles as a stiffner for the 2x2 ¼ legs.

Did some electrical troubleshooting today. Everything checked out OK. Resistance in my coil was within spec, plugs looked good, wires tested within spec, voltage was good at the MSD. LED lights on msd working as they should.

Not really sure why it died a few times on Friday at this point? Tried to recreate the heat soaking by running it up to temp, shutting it down and repeating to see if that would recreate the issue but no luck getting the issue to surface again.

Unfortunately, the test and tune ended early after the second run due to an unknown electrical issue that caused AmeriCuda to shut off before returning to the staging lanes for a third run. Either the MSD Digital 6 failed or the coil. Tomorrow I'll dig into it and find out.

How many cars have you owned and which is your favorite? I'll go first, 68 cars and my favorite was probably my 1992 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo. If I was choosing a second I'd say it's a tie between the AmeriCuda and my late Audi S4 with a V8.
