Construction is set to begin on the improvements to the Riegert Square shopping center area on Pleasant Avenue. During construction, all businesses will remain open and ready to serve customers. The City's contractors will ensure access to all businesses throughout the project.

This project will improve the safety and appearance of the Pleasant Avenue corridor by consolidating access points and enhancing the streetscape. The existing 15 curb cuts will be reduced to four primary driveways, thereby limiting the number of conflict points between vehicles and improving safety along the corridor. The project includes new curbing, sidewalk, landscaping, street lighting, business signage, and reconfigured and repaved parking lots.
