For Bobrovsky, it’s all about letting go of the past (whether it holds a big miss, a viral save, or even a Stanley Cup win). ⁠

Instead, he says, he’s all about staying in the moment. The time to look back and take stock of his Hall-of-Fame-worthy career? Bobrovsky reckons that’ll come after he retires—another thing that’s far from his thoughts right now. ⁠

Surrounded by the tools of the trade in his Hialeah workroom, Luis Escudero takes stunning designs from sketch and swatches to runway-ready gowns for .⁠
⁠
The Miami native says fashion was always in the cards. He learned to sew in the ninth grade and crafted prom dresses for his friends inspired by Vivienne Westwood, Michael Kors for Celine, and Alexander McQueen. He went on to study fashion at the International Fine Arts College (now known as Miami International University of Art & Design) before spending a year at the Paris Fashion Institute.⁠

When he landed at Rene Ruiz Collection in 2008, it was a match made in heaven. “Evening wear is my passion,” Escudero says. “I’m lucky. It’s fun for me, and at this point, it’s second nature.”⁠
