Dear Community Members,
As we prepare for the possibility of food shortages and higher food prices this summer, Hackettstown Habla Español (HHET) is partnering with non-profit organizations and our local farmers to ensure access to fresh produce for everyone. To achieve this, we are launching several exciting initiatives, where everyone in our community can participate.
Volunteer Groups for Planting, Harvesting, and Gleaning: We are organizing groups of volunteers to assist our local farmers with planting, harvesting, and gleaning. In exchange for your hard work, you may receive fresh produce to take home. You can sign up here:

Hands-On Gardening Workshops: We will be hosting workshops where you can learn about herbs, container vegetable gardening, composting, and more. Whether you have a small balcony or a big backyard, there's something for everyone to learn and grow their own food.
Bartering Community Page: We will be using our Hackettstown Bartering Community page where you can trade seeds, herbs, vegetables, and other home-grown produce. This is a great way to exchange any extra fresh produce and avoid food waste. You can join here: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1FMEEyKNnk/
Let's come together as a community to support our local farmers, learn valuable skills, and ensure that everyone has access to healthy, fresh food. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!
