Hundreds of athletes and spectators are expected in Erie this weekend as the city welcomes two major sporting events—the Mid-Atlantic Broomball Tournament and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Women’s Bowling Round Robin Tournament.
The Mid-Atlantic Broomball Tournament, organized by the Pittsburgh Broomball Club, will take place at LECOM Sports Park. The event will feature men’s and women’s teams competing in full-ice tournament play under the latest American Broomball Alliance rules.

Fans of women’s soccer in Washington State have some news to cheer about. Snohomish United is adding a women’s team to the USL W League in 2026, expanding the club’s development pathway after it joined USL League Two in 2025. According to the USL W League website, “the USL W League serves as the nation’s premier pre-professional league, developing the next generation of women’s talent both on and off the field, and enhancing the women’s soccer pipeline between college and professional soccer.”
