This week we meet and learn from Scott Winters of CNA Stores. During our chat with Scott, he tells us about music in his life, a massive motorcycle accident that changed his life, working to not only legalize but to stand behind cannabis locally, and his life working with CNA Stores CEO and Founder Rob DiFazio. We learn about marketing and hiring at a cannabis shop and also all of the philanthropic work they do for our community.

Amesbury Mayor Kassandra Gove took a year long look at impact fees and after all of the research waived them. Scott Winters of CNA Stores explains how that allowed them as an organization to make a massive donation to Veterans Northeast Outreach Center Inc. as philanthropy is at the very core of what they do. It then raised the question, if impact fees are "necessary" should the cannabis industry be the only target?

You can listen to Scotty's full interview when it drops on Thursday on Apple & Spotify podcasts. You can subscribe to your favorite platform here:

Things could have gone really bad for Scott Winters of CNA Stores as he was THE advocate for the cannabis industry. But his legacy is so much larger than "the guy who brought w**d to Amesbury." CNA Stores has the largest philanthropic mission in the state in their space. Now that is a legacy!

This week we meet and learn from Tim O’Neil of Bigfoot Waterproofing. During our chat with Tim, he tells us all about their marketing plans, employee appreciation (which may or may not involve hugs), as well as the fact that it can be the smallest of things to ensure the best customer experiences. Tim may have even created a new segment, Voices After Dark, where we dug deep into Tim’s thoughts on the podcast, how he’d like to see Ben video things for him at AFA Auto Repair, and asked all the deep insurance questions that John loves to hear.

Ben had no idea what he was getting us into when he asked for the origin of the company name for Bigfoot Waterproofing. Next thing you know it was a Cryptozoology Battle Royale for the ages. But seriously, if you're a guy between the ages of 30 and 55, we know you've had these debates in the past too!

Calling when you're going to be late. Cleaning up after yourself. It's usually the little things that make the difference with a customer's experience. Tim O'Neil with Bigfoot Waterproofing was sharing how he preaches to the whole Bigfoot team that customer service doesn't have to be dead or even a hard thing to do, so long as you do the little things right...every time!

Don't forget, Tim's full show is coming soon. You should already be subscribed on your favorite platform here:

Tim O'Neil with Bigfoot Waterproofing flipped the script on John and Ben this week as he came with some pointers for the podcast. What was most impressive is that he came to the studio having already done his research by listening to past episodes. Be like Tim, listen to Voices From The Valley!
