-what’s happening-

What would happen
If you broke free of your shell;
Of that limited existence,
You know so well?

What would happen
If you changed your point of view;
Is it possible,
You’d learn something new?

What would happen
If you broke out of the mold;
What wonders do you think,
Could begin to unfold?

What would happen
If you didn’t follow the norm;
Bit rediscovered the thing,
For which you were born?

What would happen
If you claimed your own light;
If you owned your divinity,
And your inalienable rights?

What would happen
If we all broke free;
Isn’t that the way,
It’s supposed to be?

-facing the fear-

You say I’m over-reacting,
You say just get over your fear;
I say I’ve walked this path before,
That’s how I wound up here.

Fear they say is a mind killer,
Instead you need to persevere;
No one ever said it would be easy,
By now that should be crystal clear.

Nothing comes without effort,
For everything there is an exchange;
So if you choose to do nothing,
Why do you expect things to change?

What will you do to manifest,
All of your hopes and dreams;
What will you do to silence,
The inner critic who continues to scream?

-no vacancy-

You have been evicted,
From the place you lived in my head;
I closed the door behind you,
And changed the locks instead.

I used to spend so much time,
Thinking about you and me;
I focused on what could have been,
Not the way things were in reality.

You made a lot of promises,
That you were never able to keep;
There were so many illusions,
When they shattered, it cut deep.

It took some time to process,
And that’s been said and done;
But sitting here tonight, alone,
I’m much happier with you gone.

-the small sacrifice-

I gave to the goddess,
A piece of my soul;
That’s the price she said,
For helping broken people grow whole.

You cannot truly empathize,
With a wound you don’t know;
That’s what is needed,
For you to learn and to grow.

It will be a constant ache,
You will never ease;
No matter what you do,
It will never cease.

The path you’ve chosen,
Isn’t one for the weak;
You’ve walked it before,
You know of what I speak.

It’s too heavy a burden,
To be borne unconsenting;
In this lifetime at least,
There is no relenting.

You can’t just up,
And change your mind;
No matter where you go,
It’s always there to find.

Your reward my child,
For all that you missed;
At the end of the road,
Peace, love, and bliss.

You see, in the end,
That’s what most miss;
The journey has always,
Been back to this.

I wish you could know,

I feel this way.

-cutting ties-

I release you, I release you,
I set you free;
I free myself from this attachment,
That binds you to me.

I release you, I release you,
I open wide the door;
You already walked through there,
For you live here no more.

I release you, I release you,
Good luck and good bye;
I’m grateful to have loved you,
But I can no longer cry.

I release you, I release you,
I reclaim my own light;
May it continue to burn,
Clearly and bright.

I release you, I release you,
I wish you the best;
This chapter has ended,
Now I lay it to rest.

-underwater-

I feel like I’m drowning,
In the dark depths of despair;
And the world around me,
Doesn’t seem to notice, or care.

I work long, hard hours,
Each and every day;
But at the end of the week,
I don’t get s**t for pay.

The prices keep rising,
For my gas, food and rent;
Before I get my check,
It’s already spent.

It’s inflation, they say,
Hell, it’s greed;
A point the establishment,
Will never concede.

They take, and they take,
But you have less to give;
Then sit back and wonder,
Why we struggle to live.

They said a new normal,
Was coming our way;
I think the changes all suck,
But they seem here to stay.

-divine kiss-

Every ending,
Is a new beginning;
Even when you’re losing,
You still end up winning.

Are the pieces fitting,
Or are they a mismatch?
If they don’t hold together,
Start again from scratch.

You cannot take it back,
The way through is forward;
Carefully consider,
What you’re moving toward.

If you decide you’re bored,
That means you’ve given up;
Time to try a different track,
If you’ve been feeling stuck.

You make your own luck,
It’s all about attraction;
Taking your thoughts,
And putting them into action.

You gain satisfaction,
With each new endeavor;
You get addicted to the feeling,
You want it to last forever.

You find you no longer remember,
The sorrows before,
There’s to much to look forward too,
When you walk out the door.

So it’s once more,
Into the metaphorical abyss;
All you’re seeking,
Is your bliss.

Just a kiss,
From the Divine;
But that’s a taste,
I want for all time.

The most important relationship you will EVER have is that which you have with yourself.

It sets the tone for every other relationship in your life.

How do you treat yourself?

Are you kind and compassionate?

Do you acknowledge and celebrate your strengths and accomplishments instead of belittling yourself for perceived weaknesses or flaws?

Acknowledge and own the amazing individual that you are.

Make yourself a priority.

Love and nurture yourself and you have more of your amazing self to offer others.

What are you going to do to show appreciation for you today?

Have a blessed day beautiful souls. ❤️

-No guts, no glory-

They see the glory,
But miss the guts;
They see smooth sailing,
You know there’s ruts.

They miss the effort,
The endless days and night;
Of being up before dawn,
Way before first light.

They miss the repetition,
The daily grind;
They have no idea the way,
You have to train your mind.

That it’s a mindset,
There is no doubt;
That’s truly what brings,
Everything else out.
