We thought to ourselves a couple months ago: We’ve got an Extended width, and now a Condensed width… what would a Regular width look like?

Well, here it is. And we love it. For those spaces look large for a condensed width and too narrow for an extended width, here’s the good ol’ regular width.

Last month, we announce the release of VT FOUNDRY, our first retail font in 3 years. This one was heavily requested from our followers on Instagram. We used this exclusively for internal projects but decided to push it through the pipeline and make it available for others to enjoy.

The official typeface for VarsityType, VT Foundry is a heavy-lifting headlining workhorse equipped with everything but a hard hat. It’s a 4-font condensed family that’s full of character — built by the ones who build character (fonts! Get it?) — featuring Sans, Slab, Slant, and Stencil styles.

Inspiration for this font comes from the “Property of Athletic Dept.” t-shirts, a recognizable part of American culture that represent affiliation with a group, team, or program. These tees often sported an athletic slab serif typeface in a variety of different executions.

VT Foundry now represents our font foundry, lettermakers of sport. Take it home and allow it to represent your initiative, too.
