Inhale is a song about finding hope for a fresh start, blending synthwave influences such as The Midnight with pop EDM influences like Porter Robinson.

“Inhale” releases in ONE HOUR 👀 Parts of the song feature a marching drum line, which is nostalgic for me because I was heavily involved in marching band during high school. Including them in the song was a way to represent the song’s theme of looking back as a way to begin moving forward.

I wrote this song to describe the process of honest self-reflection and the hope of faith-fueled change. The piano melody—indicative of that hope—begins as a distant idea at the start of the song, is realized fully as the song progresses, and is echoed at the end, as if what was once only a dream has now been made a memory.
