Two American women take a vacation to Paris, and meet two American men who have found love and freedom in the France culture .

Great acting and a Phenomenal soundtrack

As we mentioned earlier this week, every Sunday of the month of September, I will be posting a classic, romantic movie that fits in the Jet Set lifestyle.

This Sunday, we feature the film Gidget Grows Up .
Released in 1969, it's almost a sequel to the Salley Feild t.v. sitcom .

Like the show, Gidget's Father is a widower portrayed by Robert Cummings . And Karen Valentine is Gidget, playing a great older version of the character, in her new phase of life .

This movie is available on Tubi . The free streaming service.
On a personal note, I have watched this over 10 times and the ending had me crying each time .
A Great film about growing up and romance . ~S~

Joey Defrancesco died early Friday morning. the 26th of August 2022. He was 51 years old.

DeFrancesco (born April 10, 1971) was an American jazz organist, trumpeter, saxophonist and occasional singer. He has released more than 30 albums under his own name, and has been recording extensively as a side musician with such leading performers as Miles Davis, Houston Person and John McLaughlin early in his career.[4] DeFrancesco signed his first record deal at the age of 16 and over the years has recorded and toured internationally with David Sanborn, Arturo Sandoval, Larry Coryell, Frank Wess, Benny Golson, James Moody, Steve Gadd, Danny Gatton, Elvin Jones, Jimmy Cobb, George Benson, Pat Martino, Tony Monaco, John Scofield, Lee Ritenour, Joe Lovano, and done prominent session work with a wide variety of musicians including Ray Charles, Bette Midler, Janis Siegel, Diana Krall, Jimmy Smith, and Van Morrison.
