THE ASHEN LIGHTS OF VENUS: : By Russell L.Smith Sr.
The planet Venus has alluded the scrutiny of astronomers since Galileo first viewed it in 1640, and found that it imitated the phases of the Earth's moon. Although Venus presents itself only as a morning or evening star shortly before sun rises on the western elongation, and shortly after sunset on the eastern elongation, owning to the fact that it is an inner planet with respect to the earth and sun, and the brightest of all the opaque heavenly bodies, Venus still mystified astronomers as to the cause of the brilliance.
From the eighteenth century to the nineteenth century, many observers have reported the presence of faint lights surrounding it's northern and southern poles similar to the aurora glow of the Earth's poles. However, even with the advent of larger and more sophisticated optical instruments during the latter part of the eighteenth century, few have en-lighten our knowledge of this planet, as to the topography, and diurnal rotation with respect to the earth.
Equations have been formulated that should predict the volume, mass an density with great accuracy with respect to the Earth and moon and the solar mass. Herein seem to lie a fundamental flaw in those equations, when observed phenomenal appears to contradict celestial and orbital mechanics.
The hypothesis upon which my work is based on is the sighting of an apparent binary satellite and a ringed system of multiple minor satellites around Venus on April 28, 1975. The apparent binary appeared to be accompanied by a smaller moon one four of the size, and of the fourth magnitude, while the binary appeared as a six magnitude with respect to Venus. the observed phenomenal was sighted while tracking Venus at 300 diameters, with a TASCO 10TE F15 3 inch refractor. No prior mention had been made or recorded in my astronomy data books.
This led to an intensive investigation of Venus's near environment working at 300 and 600 diameters respectively, utilizing a Barlow's lens and Huygeniel eyepieces of 4mm, 12.5mm, and 20mm, with Minolta 35mm lens reflex cameral with 2475 ASA recording film, and "kODAK" Infrared Ecto-chromes during the eastern elongation of Venus in December of 1975. Early work commencing in February of 1975 was done with a polaroid model 80 land-cameral with type 37, 3000 ASA film to take advantage of the short period that VENUS is above my horizon.
This period is due to the fact that Venus never varies more than 27 degrees above the horizon at elongations. aside from the varying seeing conditions on Earth, one must master the art of finding and tracking celestial objects at extreme narrow angular fields of view. This feat was mastered by focusing my finders scope on a stationary 12" x 12" beacon light upon a local cable-vision tower, and photographing the same to test for aberrations and astigmatisms of the optical configuration, than clocking the transit of the star Sirius across my field of view to determine the angle measure in seconds of arc.
The planets were found by calculation and observation to never exceed 60 seconds of arc with respect to the sidereal year of the earth. thus 60 seconds of arc became my control constant with which to make a comparative analysis of all heavenly bodies and was dubbed "SOLAR CORRIDOR of OPTICAL RECONNAISSANCE and ENHANCEMENT (S.C.O.R.E)".
At the commencement of this works, few books on astronomy-photography in color or black and white were at my perusals, nor were there any current photos from NASA's stock of space probes images from the mariner series. An educated guess based on lunar photographs had to be used as criteria for what the topography of our neighbors in space might resemble. Armed with a lunar map and the Farmer Almanac, the heavens became my study for a documentary period of five years, revealing phenomenal that was yet to be in the annals of history.
Preliminary photographs were sent to the Library of Congress to copyright and document my finding, which appeared to be invariance to well- known and accepted scientific data, thoroughly investigated by conventional means. Help was sought at leading observatories around the United States, and local S.U.N.Y college at Stony-brook, New York for guidance to gain a hearing in a field of endeavor diametrically opposite to my chosen career. By 1978 much investigation by trial and error with various optical configurations had been perfected, and my attention was turned to testing the limits of Video Astronomy utilizing a Concord high definition surveillance b/w t.v. cameral and a GBC CTC 5X color t.v. cameral.
The results from 1975 to 1980 were made into a video documentary comprising color transparencies and rea- time, slow motion and still video frames. The NASA Challenger tragedy made it even more imperative that my findings be made known to the scientific community, as much delay had been caused to the launching of the Magellan probe to Venus. Based on Video evidence unpublished, this author believes that we are truly not the only intelligent life in the Solar System. Though our national security hasn't been threatened. It appears from documented evidence, that a highly developed technology is being used to camouflage their presence, i.e. the solar light spectrum, which can be discerned by rotating a spectrum color palette with a raw video image.
My hypothesis is that an extraterrestrial entity will also use the orbital mechanics of the inferior planets to aid in camouflage, as explained in the seeing conditions, that the planets Venus and Mercury present
to an Earth observer. To date, 1995, This author working under the name of Daystar Research Enterprises, is prepared to present evidence to support my findings. The problem I face is to whom should the presentation be made, after having called a press conference in 1987, to present my supporting documentary, in which an excerpt was published in the Suffolk Life Newspapers, on March 11, 1987. The above live video photographs were taken January 4, 1979, during the western elongation of the planet Venus.
