Happy Thanksgiving Message!
To My Fellow Military Spouses,

As I sit at the table with our 11-year-old son this Thanksgiving, there’s an empty chair that reminds me of the sacrifices we all make. Like so many of your husbands, wives, partners, and loved ones, my wife is far from home, serving this nation with unwavering dedication.

To the parents juggling it all with little ones asking, “When is mommy coming home?” or “Will daddy be here next year?”—your strength is immeasurable. To those surrounded by family, hold tight to their love and let it fill the gaps left by deployment. To those sitting alone, feeling the silence of an empty home—please know you’re never truly alone. You are seen, cherished, and loved by a community that walks this path with you.

This life is not easy. Some days feel heavier than others, especially those meant to bring families together. But as military spouses, we carry our loved ones in our hearts, whispering gratitude for the honor of loving someone who serves with such courage.

To those on deployment reading this, know that your family misses you more than words can say. We’re holding down the fort, waiting for the day we can wrap our arms around you again. You are our heroes—not just for what you do but for who you are to us.

So today, we give thanks for the food on the table and the love that connects us across oceans, mountains, and time zones. Even in the absence, we feel the presence of those we hold dearest.

Coffee with a Cop: A Window Between Worlds

Today, I had the opportunity to attend an incredible event organized by the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) – "Coffee with a Cop: A Window Between Worlds." This gathering is part of the Department of Defense's ongoing initiatives to make military life more fulfilling for service members and their families, providing a unique space for open conversation and connection.

The CID team welcomed me warmly, creating a relaxed environment where I could "break bread" together, engage in meaningful discussions, and get a glimpse into each other's worlds. This event wasn’t just about coffee; it was about building a bridge between the community and CID, fostering trust, understanding, and camaraderie.

I encourage all military spouses and families to come out to the next Coffee with a Cop event. Whether you're new to the military life or a seasoned spouse, these gatherings offer a wonderful chance to learn, share, and grow within our community.

December 7 at Palmetto Terrace
Each event runs from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
