Tonight is my final winter recital before taking a sabbatical to focus on my family. I cannot even begin to describe how much joy I’ve had from teaching music lessons to so many incredible students. I will miss it so much (and expect to be back at it once I have a kiddo driving!). Please come out to Bethel tonight to see a free show with lots of very talented musicians! We start at 7P, and I will be in the front row just trying to KEEP IT TOGETHER 😭😭😭😭!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but it’s always better to sing in tune than to belt.

I know it’s popular to whisper up into head voice these days, and that’s just fine if it’s where your starting. But once you get up there and head voice has been introduced, become it’s best friend. Give it some volume, try to get rid of the breathy quality and go for for CLARITY. Think Anna Kendrick, Kristen Bell, Chenoweth.. you get the idea. 🎶
