New Movies this weekend

1. "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera" (R)
Gerard Butler returns as Big Nick O'Brien, who's left law enforcement and decides to switch sides after tracking down Donnie Wilson (O'Shea Jackson Jr.) in Europe so he can join Wilson's new crew of thieves as they plan another heist.

2. "Better Man" expands nationwide. (R)
This is the life story of British pop star Robbie Williams, but with him depicted as a CHIMPANZEE like the ones in "The Planet of the Apes" . . . because he, quote, "always felt less evolved" than other people. It got a limited release on Christmas Day.

3. And now, some limited releases you may or may not care about:

--"Turn Me On", a sci-fi romantic comedy about a future where human emotion has been suppressed by a government imposed daily vitamin. It stars Nick Robinson and Bel Powley as two lovers who start skipping their daily dose.

--"Hard Truths" starring Marianne Jean-Baptiste from "Without a Trace" as a lonely, angry British woman lashing out at everyone to hide her own secret pain.

--"The Prosecutor", a Hong Kong action thriller starring Donnie Yen as a former cop who stumbles into a drug smuggling conspiracy during his first case as a prosecutor.
