Our guard puppy, Tack, just turned 1-year-old today! She is rambunctious and full of life. Tack is an eager learner who loves to show off her new skills. We look forward to watching her grow.

Today was such a great day! After a productive day packed full of chores and projects, we got to train Gandolf, an older horse we are rehabilitating. He has a long way to go, but is doing great! We also got the time to train and play with our pup Tack. We are thankful to God for these amazing animals that he lets us care for. Without them our lives wouldn't be nearly as joyful.

God has blessed us with three of the best dogs ever! Filly with her sense of duty and love of work, Elise with her cuddliness, and Tack who is just a goof and catches on quickly. They have brought a lot of joy to our lives and make our jobs at the ranch much easier.

We will be here this Saturday from 9 to 12! We will have all our caramels, Cajeta, lotion, Soaks, fizzies, and animal treats. It's a lot of fun and great to see the local talent. Morning Glory and Bun will be with us and hope to meet you there.

Yesterday served as a reminder of why our ranch is here. A family new to goats came out to experience milking various breeds of goats and to interact with the horses. Our newest goat, Jenny, had never been milked by someone she had just met and she waited patiently. Heidi, our French Alpine, also stood and let the mother and two daughters learn on her. Without any restraints, both does were free to interact with the newcomers in a way that a head catch would never allow, sniffing them and checking them out with curiosity.
It was wonderful to hear the excitement in the voice of one of the daughters as she discussed goats and shared all she had learned since their previous visit. The day had started with a sudden hail storm, but by the evening the rain had subsided enough to gather outside. Seeing the joy as others learned about goats and pet the goat kids makes even the stormiest days bright.

Tack got her first professional groom job today to help with the heat and getting so many sticks and weeds stuck in her coat. She seems to have loved her time at P&J Pet Salon and she looks great, much better than the sad job we tried to do.
