CASE UPDATE: On today's date, the District Attorney's Office filed charges against Ryan Milligan stemming from an incident that took place on the evening of November 10th, 2022 on the Rough and Ready Highway. CHP - Grass Valley responded to the scene, conducted an investigation, and placed Mr. Milligan under arrest for vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence, and possession of methamphetamine. Charges filed by the District Attorney's Office include a violation of Penal Code Section 191.5(a), gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and a violation of Health and Safety Code Section 11377(a), possession of methamphetamine. Mr. Milligan is currently in custody at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility and will be arraigned today.
