Throwback Thursday!
On May 12th, 1982, GRTV was sent a piece of mail addressing the use of "Power To The People" as their station's identification song. This was brought to the attention of Yoko Ono and the John Lennon Estate, who approved the use of the song!
Through the month of December we're asking you to support the Grand Rapids Community Media Center. We are actively trying to do important archiving work, to preserve history and showcase the stories of Grand Rapids, but this work takes space. To continue this work, we need additional server space. You can donate securely online at grcmc.org/donate or by stopping into the GRCMC in-person during our business hours! Thank you for supporting community media and our efforts to archive and protect these historical documents and videos.

With GRTV's Santa Show right around the corner, happening on Saturday December 7th, pictured is an old press release for the 2002 Santa Show. The show used to be a call in show that would air live, now we gather at Wealthy Theatre and children can see Santa in person.

We're currently hiring a part-time position! This role is the front desk-part-time position serving as the point of contact for producers, members, clients, and the public reaching out to the GRCMC in person, by phone, and digitally.

In photo #1 we have Nick and Darius, who work at the Wealthy Theatre. They both are hitting their one year mark helping at your beautiful and historic community theatre.

Photo #2 is Phil, who is doing his second term as Station Manager for WYCE. This time we are celebrating year two! Alaynna is celebrating one year as our Education Coordinator.

Tonight will be screening Bram Stoker's Dracula. Adapted from the original Dracula, Bram Stoker's Dracula is directed by Francis Ford Coppola and was released in 1992. It follows the story of Count Dracula, a 15th-century prince, who is condemned to live off the blood of the living for eternity. Young lawyer Jonathan Harker is sent to Dracula's castle to finalize a land deal, but when the Count sees a photo of Harker's fiancée, Mina, the spitting image of his dead wife, he imprisons him and sets off for London to track her down.
