Unbelievably proud to have BOTH / AND by Anuj Shrestha finally available for purchase online from the Issue Press shop. (https://issue.press/item/both-and)

BOTH / AND further hones Shrestha’s minimalist storytelling style with a series of 2-panel experiments in visual and conceptual symmetry.

The results are 20 arresting pages of doomer diptychs exploring the absurdity and beauty of the present moment—at once alarming and sad, wry and amusing.

Grand Rapids Zine Fest is week from Saturday, and is by far my favorite local event of the year! Much credit and thanks to Sara and the crew for organizing it every year!

These will be on sale at the event to help raise funds for the ongoing success of the fest!

OSLOFJORD is now available in the shop and ready to ship!

The second edition of OSLOFJORD has been many years in the making. It is the result of a close collaboration between artist Jessica Williams (US/NO) and Issue Press. The book, which explores a very specific kind of beach plastic collected in the inner Oslofjord, was completely reworked with new color combinations, new images, and a new text by the artist.

The first edition, originally self-published on the artist’s imprint Hverdag Books in 2016, “bears witness to an intrusion of the artificial into the organic, the manufactured into nature… Every image is saturated with a weird phantasmagorical intensity. Williams’ book depicts a slow moving violence that affects the very categories by which we make sense of things” - , Copenhagen.

UPDATE: With the recent anti-Asian attacks in Atlanta, Linh-Yen and I have decided to pivot this fundraiser.

From today, we are donating remaining funds raised from the sale of this print to multiple organizations and grassroots movements (Asian Americans Advancing Justice Atlanta , NAPAWF-Atlanta, Red Canary Song) doing the work to provide help for the victims

Last night we made a donation to Stop AAPI Hate for the initial $125 raised from the first round of sales at last month’s Printed Matter Virtual Art Book Fair.
