Last the Grand Rapids Boys Basketball Team had a hard fought game against the Hibbing BlueJackets. Brenden Sylvester led all scorers with 22pts. The Thunderhawks gave it their all but fell 53-58 to the Blue jackets. Grand Rapids fall to 5-9 on the season

Light snow will continue this afternoon into tonight as a warm front continues to move through. Patchy freezing drizzle may also be possible tonight, especially in the Arrowhead. This could lead to a glaze of ice. Expect snow and freezing drizzle to end by Thursday afternoon.

The Grand Rapids Thunderhawk Boys Hockey team were in action last night as they hosted The Cloquet Lumberjacks. Cloquet scored first, but Grand Rapids would not be denied the win. The Thunderhawks tied the game at 3-3 to force O.T. In overtime, Rapids was able to get the job done. Seth Carlson netted the game winning goal. Seth finished with 2 goals and an assist. Dylan Clayton got 2 goals to help get the win. Thundehawks win in OT 4-3. Up next for Rapids they will be taking on White Bear Lake on Friday.

Last night the Bigfork Huskies Girls Basketball team was in a bit of a dog fight with the Cherry Tigers Girls Basketball team. Huskies jumped out to an early start, but the Tigers defense kept them in the game. Cherry when up by one late in the second half, the Huskies were able to secure the win when Elenore Prato hit 2 crucial free throw that put the Huskies up by 4. Memphis Tendrup was the leading scorer for the Huskies with 27 pts.

The Bigfork Huskie Boys Basketball Team fall to the Hill City Hornets 78-66. The Hornets were led by leading scorer Mathew Washburn with 26 pts. The Huskie were led by Nathan Niemala with 26pts. The Huskies had the game within 2 pts late in the second half, but The Hornets sealed the win at the Free Throw Line.
