It was truly amazing to see the space we have been working tirelessly on, filled with an inspired community; eager to learn, network, and support Friday night for our grand opening!

The opening of our new studio marks a new chapter for Michigan based filmmakers, photographers, and content creators. Our new studio is not just a rentable studio, but a creative hub that will allow us to continue to, “Bridge The Gap” between Hollywood and Michigan.

“The best part about Black Pigeon sets is, I know I’m always going to walk away with great memories and a broadened set of skills. With passionate crew who know how to be professional and have fun, bps offers some of the best set experiences.”

What do you love about the local filmmaking community?
“The film community in Grand Rapids is truly one of the most supportive film communities I’ve encountered. Everyone is so eager to welcome and guide young filmmakers. I wouldn’t be where I’m at in my AC career if it weren’t for all the other ACs’ and DPs’ willingness to pass down their knowledge.”

What are your future goals?
“Right now I’m a freelance AC and my main goal is to continue learning and getting better at what I do. I hope to continue growing my technical knowledge while also tapping into the creative side of camera department through DPing.”
