Arctic blast round two possible! Air temps could be below zero overnight with highs in the single digits across Michigan once again by the middle of the month. Wind chill could be as cold as -50F again as well! Brrrrrrrrrr.

The Bison is in the groomer barn with the John Deere 6175.
Both are being worked on side by side.
So far it looks like the Deere is going to be back up before the Bison.

We are doing all we can to ensure we are getting these groomers back on the trail ASAP. The trails have been holding up and our neighbor clubs are going above and beyond. TNT, Big Bay De Noc, Schoolcraft...... we owe you several beers at least.

Sorry no real trail pictures - the groomers are slacking on sending in pictures. I can share pictures of piles of parts and tools but will spare you.

It’s time to meet the musher!

Welcome Benjamin Amat! Amat will be racing in the UP200 Powered by NMU this February. Amat shares:

“I first got involved in sled dog racing my freshman year at Michigan Tech with the Mushing Club. When I first visited the kennel, I was blown away by all of the dogs, and I got hooked. Being a person pursuing Veterinary School, it was an awesome opportunity to learn more about animal care.”

A very sad day for Grand Marais! We're unsure the time of day and it may have been late yesterday (we hope to have more information soon); our good friend and wonderful musician that left people dancing in the streets after closing out several Friday and Saturday nights at Grand Marais Annual Music Fest has passed. Our condolences to his family. He will be missed by the hundreds of people whose lives he has touched. RIP Al Young! We've attached some of the photos we could find, all taken at the Grand Marais Ball Field, Home of the Grand Marais Music Fest!
