Unfortunately, this 3 year story did not end the way I wanted to. Just putting this out there for transparency on my hunting journey, to show others what steps they can take after a shot with minimal blood and what resources they can use via nc blood trailing network and drone recovery in NC.

Huge shoutout to ​⁠​⁠Low To Ground Deer Recovery with Jeff and Cooper doing a fantastic track job that gave us clarity on shot placement and possible next bed location.

I also would like to thank Kevin Norris with Buck Down Drone Recovery for locating the buck after the first bump. Without the services of the dog and drone, I would have zero clue where this buck went because of the minimal blood and after bumping him out of his first bed.

We went to Roanoke, Virginia for Memorial Day Weekend. We had a great time exploring and trout fishing several spots in the area. Parker was able to land the BIGGEST Brook Trout our family has ever caught! We hope you enjoy watching this episode and it inspires you to GO OUTSIDE!

I genuinely cannot thank my buddy Jonny enough! We went to school together from preschool through high school. He has always been someone I have looked up to as great man of God and has always been a physical beast! He pushed me to the limit to get in range of the elk, he called, located bulls, and played a priceless role in harvesting my first elk. I am eternally grateful for him and everything he provided to make my hunt once in a lifetime. THANK YOU!
