Good morning! Don't forget that Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 AM (local time) Sunday, November 3rd as we "fall back" one hour! Be sure to set your clocks back an hour before going to bed tonight. This is also a great time to review safety plans and replace batteries in your NOAA Weather Radio, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detectors!

The fall postseason continues this week with football sectional semifinals tonight, volleyball semistate games tomorrow and the cross country state final in Terre Haute this weekend. Go check out our website or grab a copy of today’s paper for a look at each.

Starting Monday, November 4, College Avenue will be closed between US Highway 33 and Century Drive through Saturday, November 9. If weather causes delays, additional closures may occur on Tuesday, November 12, and Wednesday, November 13.

Local Access: Local traffic can reach homes and businesses from Century Drive or US 33 up to the bridge at Horn Ditch, where a hard closure will be in place.

This closure will allow Goshen crews to complete utility potholing for the upcoming College Avenue reconstruction and widening project east of US 33.

After 20-1/2 years of dedicated service to the Goshen Police Department and our community, Patrolman Matt Yoder has retired. During his time with us, Matt worked patrol and was a vital part of the S.W.A.T. team, as well as serving as a Field Training Officer, and a Taser Instructor.

We want to thank Matt for his commitment, professionalism, and hard work. His experience and dedication have been a tremendous asset to our department and to the safety of our community. His presence (and great jokes) will be greatly missed, and we wish him the best as he embarks on this next chapter.

Congratulations Matt & may the force be with you always! 💙
