I found an SD card full of music projects that has not seen the light of day in at least 5 years. There are some real hidden gems and sessions with a few different bands on here that I had all but forgotten about. Also some solo projects and many song demos that have definite promise. Sometimes it's exciting to uncover things like this and hear things almost as if it's for the first time...

I am converting this 44 year old cassette for a client today to a file that can be emailed, shared and played in the modern world.

Maybe you have some rare recordings or something special on an old cassette tape and you want to preserve it, maybe you don't have a means to play it.

A part of being an artist is the effect of your art on people and how it's received (or not received). For a long time, I have created ambient instrumental music and often it is overlooked or overshadowed by other projects I have done. It has never been as received or as well liked as the high energy, intense guitar driven music I have also made in my life, which doesn't surprise me to be honest and I accept it. I create these soundscapes for my own well-being and expression and hope that others can also come along for the journey. This morning I happened to check comments on my latest release and was welcomed by these kind words from someone I don't know and have never met (in Thailand). This is part of the goal in my artistic contributions. If I can reach even ONE person and make an impact, then I am overjoyed by that. I will always be me and try to express the things inside of me through music and visual art, regardless of how many plays or likes it gets.

A blast from my past. Going back nearly 20 years ago, I was a young man that only wanted to do one thing and I lived it, fully. I have been working on some long lost recordings and footage from my rockabilly band the Ton-Up Boys that I want to put out there for everyone to enjoy. Stay tuned!

Here's a quick tour of TDP's recording and production studio in it's current form (which is always evolving). Most of the audio production is done with a hands on the console approach and with outboard analog hardware. Of course digital and computer techniques are also possible here, but TDP is passionate about analog hardware!
