Gordon native Sergeant Jacob Downing graduated from a US Army Military Intelligence Analyst course in Fort Huachuca, Arizona and was joined by his father, US Army LTC (retired) Scott Downing. See the story in this week's issue of the SCJS!

On July 12, 2024 at Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., SGT Jacob Downing graduated from the US Army Military Intelligence Analyst course. SGT Downing is a 2011 graduate from Gordon-Rushville High School and is married to the former Megan Nealy, also a 2011 graduate of GRHS.

Yesterday, two Mustangs punched their ticket to the NSAA State Track Meet in the Class C-9 District held in Bayard. For the fourth time in both of their careers, McKinley Grover and Tyrah American Horse are headed to Omaha! Another track meet is in the books for the Gordon-Rushville Mustang team and even though the temps were a bit chilly, the team saw a plethora of top performances. The team traveled to Chadron High School for the annual Chadron Twilight meet on Friday, April 19.

The Hay Springs Hawks made the quick 20 mile trip to Chadron High School on Friday, April 19 for the Chadron Twilight Track Meet. Senior Gage Mintken was the main culprit on the day, securing a gold medal in all four events he was entered into.
