With school kicking off, it's fitting to promote one of our Faces connected to education. She may be recently retired, but Sally is definitely not forgotten! Throughout her decades in Golden, she, like so many of our local educators, has given so much professionally and personally to our students. Thank you to Sally and all the people working to make Golden's educational system one of the state's best!

With a new production taking the stage at Miners Alley Playhouse, it's a good time to introduce Rory Pierce! He has been involved in Golden's performing arts community for years and so deserves this moment in the spotlight. He regularly shares his love of theater, and even makes a disguised appearance each Candlelight Walk (ho-ho-ho!), through his leadership and commitment to young and adult audiences alike.

I am Rory Pierce, you probably figured that out from my name under my picture. You can often find me at the new Miners Alley Performing Arts Center ~ MAPAC, in the old Meyer Hardware...

We love it when members of the community nominate their favorite Faces of Golden. Such was the case with Katelyn, who is in nursing school but also working as a caregiver. Earlier this year, she received the 2025 Griswold Home Care Scholarship and was recognized because, as her nominator said, she "exemplifies the heart and soul of caregiving and brings compassion, dedication, and a personal touch to her work in nursing." Congratulations, Katelyn!

Known for her dedication to her sons' sports, particularly at Golden High School, Jill Pruett bought a Corvette to transport her boys and their basketball team in the annual parade to share their school pride. This act is just one of many this extraordinary cheerleader has done for Golden's teams. Go, Demons!

I am originally from Michigan but have lived in beautiful Colorado since 1979. I played lots of softball and worked two or three jobs before meeting my first son’s father, Mike. We had a great...

Health, wellness, nature, outdoor recreation, mountains--the qualities of Colorado are mirrored in the passions and life of Carrie Lamb. She happily shares her interests and helps others reach their peak wellness through her work as owner of Connect Physical Therapy and Pilates.

I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and first came to Colorado in the mid-’90s. My brother was going to CU, and I came out to visit and was hooked immediately. When I was applying...

Did you know Golden still has dinosaurs? See the colorful, not-to-scale interpretations beside Highway 93 just north of the city, thanks to Pat Madison's talents. His equally creative wife, Judy, is known for her ceramics. The Golden Landmarks Association named the artistic duo Living Landmarks in recognition of all they do for Golden.

When you need an infectious smile, find Jen Toohill. Her grin lifts you up and makes you glad you live in Golden. She and her husband, Bob, not only fry up delicious burgers in an out-of-this-world building (check out the fun murals!) across from Coors, but they also do the young people in the community a kindness by employing and looking out for them. https://thefacesofgoldenco.com/jennifer-toohill/
